Theme - 2022 - What Kansas Means to Me
Discover and celebrate your Kansas community through photographs. The Happy Birthday, Kansas! Student Photo Contest is open to Kansas students from first through 12th grade.
Students across Kansas are invited to leave a lasting legacy for future generations by depicting our life today. The theme for this year's student photo contest is "What Kansas Means to Me." Photos must be shot by student entrant in Kansas in 2022.
Participants: First grade through high school during 2022
Contest: Contest closes at 5 p.m. January 9 10, 2023. [Entry has been extended one day due to computer issues on last weekend of contest.] Winners will be notified and awards will be announced as part of Kansas Day at the Kansas State Capitol in Topeka, on January 27, 2023
Awards: First place in each grade level will receive iPads; second place in each grade level will receive Kindles
Rules: Photograph must be work of student and shot in Kansas in 2022
Note: Families of Kansas Historical Society and Kansas Historical Foundation staff members are not eligible
